Accommodations

PLEASE, MAKE YOURSELVES AT HOME.

To find exactly what you're looking for in a hotel, Trip Advisor is your best friend! We also have a few airbnb links in our back pocket, so let us know if you're interested in our finds!

Below are some hotel options that we like...

THE BUCHANAN HOTEL

1800 SUTTER STREET, SAN FRANCISCO, CA 94115

(415) 921-4000

Located at the intersection of three vibrant San Francisco neighborhoods — Japantown, the Fillmore, and Pacific Heights — this hotel features a luxurious feel with artsy touches. Stay here and be squarely in the neighborhood where Shlym & Lu have consumed tons of oysters and martinis then stumbled through historic San Francisco vistas. The Buchanan offers group rates, free happy hour wine in the lobby, and $16 airport shuttle services. .

OCEAN PARK MOTEL

2690 46th Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94116

(415) 566-7020

Aside from being the closest to the venue, this hotel is great for families. With Ocean Beach, the San Francisco Zoo, and Golden Gate park so close by, you get the chance to be around the unique nature surrounding San Francisco without all of the tourist crowds.

Hotel Boheme

444 Columbus Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94133

(415) 433-9111

When we first visited San Francisco, we stayed at Hotel Boheme. It was birthday number 27 for Ashlyn, and the trip was a lovely present from Luis. Boheme is nestled in one of the most historic parts of San Francisco, North Beach, where Beatniks and Bohemian writers spent most of their time. North Beach is also home to several delicious Italian restaurants/bakeries, and is just a short walk away from tourist areas like Fisherman's Wharf.

HOSTELS

If you're looking for something that's a little more affordable, San Francisco has a few great hostel options that won't break the bank!

green tortoise

494 Broadway, San Francisco, CA 94133

(415) 834-1000

This hostel is in a great neighborhood (North Beach) with excellent food, public transportation, walk-ability, and lots of shopping/site-seeing. We've stayed in the Green Tortoise in Seattle, and have nothing but good things to say about the place.

Airbnb

Airbnb is a great choice if you want to stay in a specific area or with a large group. Below are the list of neighborhoods, in order of proximation to the venue

Merced Manor/Balboa Terrace/West Portal

While these neighborhoods are in the city limits, they have a very suburban vibe to them. You'll find tons of excellent Dim Sum, the San Francisco Zoo, Stonestown Galleria Mall, and Lake Merced with a surrounding 9 Hole Golf Course.

Inner Sunset/Outer Sunset

Again, fantastic Dim Sum and dive bars. Judah Street has everything from fashion boutiques and hip restaurants to fancy toast, coconuts, and killer waves, man. If you're excited to spend one of your days in San Francisco with a beach bonfire, SF specific museums, or a picnic in Golden Gate Park, the Sunset is where you should stay.

Twin Peaks/Diamond Heights

The views! Oh, the views. While cabs rarely show their faces in Diamond Heights and Twin Peaks, if you're looking for a secluded spot or a gorgeous, pristine rental, DHTP is for you.

The Mission/Hayes Valley/The Haight

When it's time to party, you will party hard... and stay in one of these neighborhoods. All three are exploding with insanely delicious food/cocktails, SF specific shopping, parks, and stellar coffee. You can rent a bike, go by foot, or use public transportation to take you everywhere you need to go... except for maybe Stern Grove. Call that Uber!

We're more than happy to help you figure your trip plans out, so please, let us know what we can do!
